Terms of Service

What Plonk Does

Plonk is a web-based room layout planner. You can create rooms, arrange furniture, upload floor plan images as overlays, and share your layouts with others via links or embeds. It is a casual planning tool for personal use.

Plonk is NOT:

• A substitute for professional architectural drawings or building plans
• Suitable for construction, compliance, or permit applications
• A guaranteed long-term storage service for your layouts

Accounts and Demo Mode

You can use Plonk with a Lotl Auth account for persistent layouts, or in demo mode without an account. Demo layouts are temporary and are automatically deleted after 48 hours. We are not responsible for data lost in demo mode.

Account-linked layouts are stored on our servers and will persist as long as the service is running. However, Plonk is a free tool and we do not guarantee indefinite data retention. If the service is discontinued, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice so you can export your work.

Your Content

You retain ownership of the layouts you create and the images you upload. By uploading content to Plonk, you grant us a licence to store and serve that content as needed to provide the service (including shared and embedded views).

You are responsible for the content you upload. Do not upload:

• Images you do not have the right to use
• Illegal, harmful, or offensive content
• Content that infringes on others' intellectual property

Sharing and Embeds

Plonk allows you to share layouts via links and embed them on other websites. Shared layouts are accessible to anyone with the link. You are responsible for who you share links with. Do not use shared links to spam or distribute unwanted content.

We may disable shared links that violate these terms or that generate excessive traffic.

Your Responsibilities

• Not for critical decisions. Do not rely on Plonk layouts for construction, renovation, or any decision that requires precise measurements or professional plans.
• Keep backups. Export your layouts if they are important to you. We are not a backup service.
• Respect the service. Do not attempt to overload the service, scrape data, or bypass access controls.

Limitation of Liability

Plonk is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• We are not liable for any loss of data, including layouts, images, or other content
• We are not liable for any decisions made based on Plonk layouts
• We are not liable for any inaccuracies in measurements, dimensions, or spatial representation
• This includes direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, and special damages

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate access to the service at any time, for any reason, without notice. We may also remove content that violates these terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.

Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of Plonk constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
