Plonk is built by Lotlsoft, an independent Australian software studio. One developer, no investors, no corporate parent.
Why is it free?
Plonk is an indie project. There are no venture capital expectations to satisfy, no ads to serve, and no premium tier to upsell you into. The full feature set is available to everyone.
Scope
Plonk is a 2D top-down room planner. It is not a 3D visualisation tool and there are no plans to add 3D walkthroughs or rendered views. If you need 3D, a dedicated tool like SketchUp or Sweet Home 3D would be a better fit.
